BIOGRAPHY

God’s Little Soldiers International, a Christian boys choir founded in 1997 at the powerful Malcolm X Academy, in Detroit, Michigan, is comprised of African American boys ages 7 through 14. The objective of the choir is to keep God first while giving African American boys exposure beyond their urban setting. They have Bible study and vocal training throughout the week, as well as keeping up with their academics.

CBS/UPN featured God’s Little Soldiers International in a Christmas television special “Songs For the Holiday.,” with Byron Cage and J. Moss. They won Amateur Night at the World Famous Apollo Theater. They have traveled nationally singing in every major city throughout the United States and studied French for three months prior to singing in Paris, France and London, England. God’s Little Soldiers International was the featured opening for the National NAACP annual convention with keynote speaker Senator Hillary Clinton, rendering their stirring selection of "Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing." They have been interviewed on national television and radio programs, and they were featured twice on Fox 2 News in Detroit, Michigan. These young men are embarking upon their sixth appearance on the International Bobby Jones Gospel Show. God's Little Soldiers International completed a 6-day engagement tour of San Francisco. They received an official Proclamation from the City and County of San Francisco from the Mayor, naming December 12th God's Little Soldiers International Day. Their CD “Real Men Pray” is on national radio. According to national radio promoters they are one of the most recognized children’s choir in the country. Their music video “Let’s Get It Started” from the CD Real Men Pray is also being shown on the national scene. They are slated for a part in the movie depicting the lives of the legendary male singing group, the Dramatics. These young warriors have performed (ministered) with Fred Hammond, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Tramaine Hawkins, Karen Clark-Sheard, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Dottie People, Byron Cage, J. Moss, Chris Jones and the Word, Detrick Haddon and others.

Their overall objective is to be a blessing unto others as well as keeping themselves off the streets, keeping on a progressive upward path. The choir travels throughout the United States and Internationally, singing praises unto the Lord, while at the same time garnering an unforgettable educational experience. Most recently God’s Little Soldiers International became the first boys’ choir to ever be official nominees of the Gospel Stellar Awards (2005), according to the archive specialist. After the boys were placed on the ballot with their CD “Real Men Pray,” a Hollywood producer contacted Motor City Praise Records contemplating placing one of their songs on a movie soundtrack. A promoter with the Chrysler Organization has taken an interest setting up a 7-city tour for the boys. They will be touring Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Baltimore, and Washington D.C. other cities are in the works. The Lord has them truly marching.

This organization has been in existence for seven (7) years strong. The Lord is the Author and the Finisher of this organization and only He knows where it will lead.
